Welcome and thanks for checking out ‘Just a Little Bit.’ The name? Don’t ask, because honestly, I don’t know. You know how you try to think of some clever name for whatever you may be working on? Well, that was the attempt I stuck with, so I bought the URL. ;)

My name is Laura. I am a huge dork that loves all things design. Graphic design, web design and ultimately interior design. That’s the focus here on the blog. I started the blog in May of 2009 as a way to catalog my thoughts and inspirations, as well as projects, relating to interior design.

By day I am a visual designer, but in my free time, I’m totally obsessed with interior design. I’m constantly reading blogs, checking out stores, and scouring craigslist. I also love to get my hands dirty, try out some new tricks and learn something new. My style is evolving, but is really showing a mid-century modern direction.  I love bold colors, fun patterns and cheeky tchotchkes.

I have had the opportunity to have great publicity through WebDesignLedger by being the winner of their iMac giveaway, and also through YoungHouseLove by being a featured Reader Redesign with my DIY lamp project.

I have a 2.5 year old Calico named Kira who is a pain in my butt, but will probably show up frequently on the blog, because she’s just so darned cute! I’m currently living in Northern Virginia, and I am desperate to get away!
