Sportin’ a New Look
I’m still styling the bookcase, but I wanted to share some teaser photos with you! It was a long, arduous process, but Billy is painted! I’m not sure how well it’ll hold, as I noticed some chipping while I was putting things back together, but the shelves are in and the books are on, and that’s the hard part! I should have a more thorough run down of my process later this week!
(We picked up the metal typeset characters at the DC Big Flea this past weekend — only $4!)

Nice! I’m also planning on painting some fake wood bookcases white in the near future (they’re black right now and don’t look so great with the white and natural wood of the fireplace that they flank at the new place)
And I ALWAYS miss the DC Big Flea! It always slips my mind until I hear people talking about how it was the previous weekend! Gah! *kicks self*
Painting it completely changed the look of the room, it feels a lot bigger now! And I was unimpressed by the Big Flea this year, lots of junk — though they had a lot of vintage Pyrex I wanted to grab up, and in retrospect I should have. The next one is in September, I believe, so keep an eye out! I’ll try to remember to post a reminder when it comes up — almost did this time, and I should’ve!
