Weekly Find: Janis Textiles’ Lavender Sachet

by Laura on December 14th, 2009

I can’t take credit for it, it was the lovelies over at DesignSponge* who found it. At any rate, I wanted to share these lovely sachets that have been block-printed and hand sewn.

Bird Sachet

I’m on an Anthropologie kick lately, and the design on this is so organic and wonderful. She even fills them with lavender the Boony Doon Farm in Santa Cruz, California. They are currently sold out until the 21st, but aren’t they cute?

  1. Oooh! Those are adorable!
(And that kind of randomly reminds me that I was going to make some new catnip toys for the kitties before I headed off to visit my parents for Christmas–so maybe they won’t destroy *too* much while I’m gone! :-P)

  2. Teresa –

I’ve always wanted to make little catnip toys! I forgot about the catnip in my kitty basket, and boy, did she go crazy when I gave it to her! So funny!

    Best,

  3. Hehe–yeah, I have to keep my catnip locked away in a closet or the cats will try their hardest to get into the plastic container (the lid has teeth and claw marks to prove it!)
I just sewed up a little pouch about 3″x3″ from some cotton fabric I’ve had lying around forever, filled it with catnip and sewed the top shut, and the kitties are LOVING it! (I used to make them out of felt, but the little beasts managed the rip the felt open and scatter catnip all over the apartment once–not fun to clean up!) Not at all hard to do!
    :-)
