New Apartment Photos
The living room lacks serious light. With only one window in the living space, it gets pretty dark. Needs for this space include artwork above the sofa, curtains, possibly a rug and that coffee table needs help, seriously.
Need: serious artwork above the couch. And a slip cover for it, it’s too dark. And yanno, paint on the walls. My color of choice is Valspar’s Wild Hawk (6007-2B), it’s a nice medium tan with just a hint of grey in it. It looks wonderful with the bedroom color.
More on that bookcase to come later.

The bedroom! I love the wall color (represented better in the next photo) and my HomeGoods score (the mirror). Wall color is Valspar’s Frosty Grass (5003-3B), and I love it.

So there is a lot left to be done in this place. I am basically starting from scratch and just looking for the right pieces, you know? There are just so many things I want to do and only so much time (and money!) to spend!
You’ll also notice that the rest of the apartment is not featured. That’s basically because the bathroom, other side of the bedroom, kitchen and hall are really uninspiring. Once I get things done to them, then we’ll talk, promise.
Yay for new apartment pictures! I’m going through the same new-apartment arranging and decorating thing right now–though your place looks much more pulled-together at 3 weeks than my place currently does at just under 2 months!
And I *love* the bright green boxes on the black shelves! Such a great little punch of color!

They are from Ikea! Very reasonably priced, too. I believe their current colors are green, red, white and black.

Laura, Looks great! You’ll get more done as time goes on. It’s always a work in progress, and I’m sure you will change things around constantly.
